Beginning in 2007, the public now has access to Clear Pond and Bog Lake—vital links in the canoe route between Lake Lila and Lows Lake. Both ponds have been added to the Five Ponds Wilderness. A rough carry route currently exists between Lila and Clear, utilizing a portion of the railroad tracks. This area is featured in the new edition of Discover the Northwestern Adirondacks, which is now available.
